In 1999 the legal practices Joseph Maguire & Co. of Bray and Patrick McNeice & Co. of Greystones united to form Maguire McNeice Solicitors.

Over the years, Maguire McNeice has developed an extensive level of expertise in practically all areas of law. Our heavy investment in state of the art technology and systems enables us to provide our clients with efficient and cost effective legal services, whilst maintaining the highest possible level of professional standards.

With a team of highly qualified and experienced professionals Maguire McNeice provides clients with specialist legal services in practically all areas of law. High regard for the firm's experience in family law has led to many referrals from colleagues in the legal profession. The firm represented clients in the first three Collaborative Law cases to be ruled before the Irish Courts.

With a former president of the Bray and District Chamber of Commerce, a former President of the Wicklow Solicitors Bar Association who is also a member of the Law Society's Regulation of Practice Committee, it is no surprise that Maguire McNeice has grown to be one of the largest lawfirms in County Wicklow.

As and from 5 July 2021, Maguire McNeice Solicitors practicing from both their Bray and Greystones offices in Co. Wicklow have been authorised by the Legal Services Regulatory Authority pursuant to Section 123 of the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015 to operate as a limited liability partnership, under the title Maguire McNeice LLP Solicitors





MEET THE TEAM

Joseph Maguire - Solicitor

Joseph Maguire*

Joe qualified as a solicitor in 1978 and founded the firm in 1981. His work in litigation focuses mainly on defence centred insurance work, family law and representing private clients in prosecutions under the Road Traffic Act and other criminal offences. He practices extensively in the District , Circuit and High courts representing clients that include foreign insurance companies.

Joe developed an expertise in family law pleading cases on his own before District and Circuit courts. The regard for the firms experience in Family Law matters is confirmed by the many referrals the firm receives from colleagues within the legal profession. The firm represented clients in the first collaborative judicial separation case and the first collaborative divorce case to be ruled before the courts in Ireland.

Joe achieved an MA in mediation and conflict resolution and practices as a mediator however he finds that he uses the skills gained on this course in all aspects of his practice

Joe is a former president of Bray and District Chamber of Commerce and continues his voluntary work with a number of local and national organisations.

Joe is married with four children.

Patrick McNiece - Solicitor

Patrick McNeice*

Patrick McNeice attained a BCL degree from University College Dublin in 1981 and qualified as a solicitor in Hilary Term 1985. He has worked in the Bray/Greystones area since his qualification and has been based in Greystones since he set up practice there in 1988. Patrick McNeice joined forces with Joseph Maguire in 1999 leading to the formation of Maguire McNeice Solicitors.

Currently based in our Greystones office, he covers all areas of law with a focus on Plaintiff & Defence Litigation, Probate & Wills, Court attendance etc.

Patrick was elected President of the Wicklow Solicitors Association in March 2013 and was proud to represent his colleagues for his two-year term of office. He is currenly a member of the Law Society's Regulation of Practice Committee.

Patrick McCormack - Solicitor

Patrick McCormack*

Patrick McCormack is an Associate Solicitor and has been with the firm since 2013.

Patrick deals with all areas of general practice with particular emphasis on Litigation in the District, Circuit and High Court to include contract and land disputes, personal injury litigation, medical negligence, equity and defence litgation.

Patrick also deals with the firm's debt recovery and employment law cases in our Bray office.

Patrick Egan - Solicitor

Patrick Egan

A native of Wicklow, Patrick Egan is a Solicitor who works between our two offices in Bray & Greystones.

He is a graduate of the University of London having been conferred with an honours degree in Law (LLB) in 1994.

Patrick has extensive experience having joined Maguire McNeice in 2006 and having previously worked for a variety of firms in Wexford, Kildare and Meath.

His areas of expertise are in property-related matters both residential & commercial and landlord & tenant (commercial & residential).

Emer McNally - Office Manager - Maguire McNeice LLP Solicitors

Emer McNally

Emer joined Maguire McNeice as Office manager in 2001. She is responsible for all financial, compliance and personnel matters for the firm. She previously worked in the motor industry as an office manager for 7 years.

Emer holds a Diploma in Business Studies from Athlone IT and a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from Portobello College Dublin.
